Home sales in the Naples area increased 1 percent in the 12 months ended In November to 9,800 from 9,724 in the prior comparable period.
The Naples Area Board of Realtors also reported that the inventory of homes for sale in November increased 5 percent to 2,319 from 2,217 in November 2014.
The median home-sale price rose to $305,000 in the 12 months ended in November, up 15 percent from $265,000 in the prior 12-month period.
Sales of Naples-area condos in the $300,000-$500,000 price range increased 32 percent to 968 in the 12 months ended in November from 734 in the prior 12-month period.
“Homes under $300,000 are going fast,” said Kathy Zorn, broker/owner, Florida Home Realty. “Days on market for that segment dropped 11 percent from 57 to 51 days, which doesn’t leave a lot of time for serious buyers to shop around.”
Distressed home sales declined to the lowest level since the Naples Area Board of Realtors began tracking them, said Bill Coffey, broker manager of Amerivest Realty Naples.
“There were only 34 foreclosures and eight short sales reported last month,” Coffey said.
