A renovated waterfront home in Coral Gables’ Cocoplum neighborhood has just been listed for $6.397 million — nearly $3.7 million more than its last sale of $2.7 million in July 2014.
The 6,069 square foot home at 7233 Los Pinos Boulevard in Coral Gables has five bedrooms, six bathrooms and one half bath, according to the listing. David Carrion-Levy of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty’s commercial division, is listing the property, which is on 0.4 acres.
The new price equates to $1,054 per square foot. The sale last year equated to $445 per square foot. The land was originally purchased for $75,000 in 1977.
The home, built in 1983, was completely renovated this year, and now features a custom chef’s kitchen with Viking appliances, wood and marble flooring, a steam spa shower, private elevator and 65-foot concrete dock. It also has a pool, security system and tennis court, according to the listing.
Property and corporate records show the home is currently owned by Los Pinos Home LLC, whose registered agent is Tomas Kucera and whose manager is Daniel Liste.
In January, the sale of a Cocoplum mansion reportedly set a post-housing crash record at the time for price per square foot in the area. The $2.8-million sale equated to $565 per square foot for the 4,953-square-foot home at 125 Gavilan Avenue.
And in July, a 7,704-square foot Cocoplum estate at 185 Los Pinos Court, on more than a half-acre property traded hands for $6.05 million. The two-story waterfront property features a pool, dock, marble patio and Raymond Jungles-designed landscaping. The price equated to $785 per square foot. — Ina Cordle
