Stuart Boatworks 27

Stuart Boatworks

Sharp bow-entry makes for a good ride in rough water.

This week we look at a brand new offering from Stuart Boatworks. The Stuart 27 is a retooling of the former Stuart 26 model. Stuart Boatworks took the already popular 26-foot design back to the drawing board and added some noteworthy improvements. Following up on some feedback from existing customers and adding a few ideas of their own they have made subtle but noticeable changes including, a new larger head console which was added for additional storage space. Additionally, they have included twin rod locker hatches aft with over 10' of storage space [outboard of the stringers below deck] for more storage options. They are a “Semi-custom” boat builder who will custom design this space accordingly to suit your needs for many differing storage solutions such as rods, pole spears, gaffs, cleaning supplies, dive gear etc.

Along with the new console space, Stuart has increased the overall working deck space forward by a foot- creating a roomier forward seating area as well as improving maneuverability around the forward coffin box and seating. Raising the shear line by 5 inches from the mid ship point forward gives the boat the feel of a larger boat while adding a more stylish, curvy profile. This boat fits the need of the owner who wants a smart looking offshore ready fishing platform that will turn a few heads at the dock and can be easily managed single handedly.

The Stuart 27 can be powered by either single or twin outboard configurations ranging up to 600 horse power. The 27 runs along smartly at 45 mph powered by a single 300.
