The developer of The Wave on Bayshore in Fort Lauderdale landed a $5 million sale contract for a two-story penthouse at the 18-unit condominium development, the highest pre-construction sale price so far.

The two-story penthouse, which will span 6,668 square feet, is designed with six bedrooms, seven bathrooms and a terrace that wraps around the unit's exterior. The penthouse will comprise the 10th and 11th floors of The Wave.

The developer, New York-based Oak Tree Management, expects to start construction of The Wave by year-end, and finish it by late 2018.

The exclusive sales agent for The Wave at 620 Bayshore Drive in Fort Lauderdale is Dan Teixeira, vice president of business development at brokerage firm Douglas Elliman Florida. [Sun-Sentinel]Mike Seemuth
