New development guru Louise Sunshine lasted less than six months at Compass before calling it quits. So what's next for the real estate bigwig? Making America great again, apparently. Sunshine is now on the campaign trail with Donald Trump.
Before Sunshine's eponymous marketing company merged with Corcoran in 2005, she was Trump's most senior female executive. Now she is back at it, launching Women for Trump in Florida, according to the New York Post.
While Sunshine is behind the controversial Republican presidential nominee, she has been critical of some of his statements. For instance, she took Trump to task for attacking Hillary Clinton for staying with Bill following his affairs.
“When a man cheats, every woman has a choice…to stay or to get divorced. Hillary chose to stay. It's not what I would have done, but it was a smart choice for her. It got her to the White House,” she said.
On her decision to leave Compass, Sunshine cited a clash of cultures.
“I felt that my business practices and those of Compass were not aligned,” Sunshine told The Real Deal. “Compass, they have their own way.” [NYP] –Christopher Cameron
