In its 50th year, the Fort Lauderdale Billfish Tournament, owned by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida and sponsored by the Miami Marlins, is the premier not-for-profit fishing tournament in the southeast benefiting education and research. The tournament combines a commitment to preserving the seas, cash prizes, a mandate of the release of billfish and the responsible take of fun fish.
