G3 is no new comer to the boating industry so when they launched the G3 Bay 18 it was engineered to be used in saltwater. They incorporated a baked-on two part urethane hull finish and a Tuff Coat spray in interior liner. The hull construction also includes full length longitudinal stringers and injected closed cell foam. The .100 gauge welded hull has aluminum lids on the decks and an all-aluminum transom. Two anglers can sit behind the helm over the top of a lid that opens to a 41 inch long, 27 gallon divided livewell. The split level bow casting platform has a storage hatch on the top of the lower aft section and a trolling motor plug panel on the face of the deck as it goes forward to the flush raised section. Four floor drains channel away water to the bilge to keep your feet dry. The anti-skid interior surface is cool to the touch and has a grip that keeps you sure footed and your gear from sliding around to cockpit.
The deep V hull design runs far better in a chop than a typical aluminum flat bottom jon boat.

The bow has plenty of storage under the casting deck and under both port and starboard jump seats. The front seat of the center console has an insulated cooler built-in.

A large livewell with a center divider can keep two types of live bait healthy or separate your catch from your angling partner in the case of a tournament.

A large hatch in the rear casting deck gives you easy access to all of the boats systems for maintenance and repair.

Similar to a bass boat, having folding fishing chairs on the bow and stern casting decks makes a long day of fishing so much more comfortable.

Leaner seats, like this one, are common in a bay boat. This design provides a secure comfortable, place for two anglers behind the helm, without taking up cockpit space.

Floor drains, in the cockpit sole, evacuate water quickly from the deck and the intergraded drain screens keep debris from making it into the bilge.

The only fiberglass part on this G3 is the center console. It’s large enough for all of the controls yet still allows plenty of walk-around room.
